Training for journalist on “Rights to Information and Investigative Journalism”

A five-day training on “Rights to Information and Investigative Journalism” has been successfully completed in Ilam and Chitwan on 31 May – 4 June 2014 and 7- 11 June 2014 respectively. The training was organized under “Empowering people to enjoy their Rights to Information for greater accountability of Nepal’s power holders” project supported by European Union. Total 52 journalists from the various districts have been benefited by the training.
In eastern region 25 journalists participated the training from Ilam, Panchthar and Taplejung district. In central region 27 journalists participated the training Bara and Makwanpur district. The training was focused on how to use Right to Information in Investigative Journalism.
