Missing Journalist found dead

The body of journalist Suman Bomjan was found dead in Kathmandu on 2 May 2015 (Saturday), eight days after the massive earthquake. Journalist Bomjan was the member of Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) affiliated with Makwanpur District Chapter and had been serving as councilor from the chapter he was affiliated with. Journalist Bomjan was found buried in the rubble of his ruined house by the rescue and emergency team.

The 29-year old local of Makwanpur District, Hetauda Sub-metropolitan-10 (Central Region of Nepal) had been working for Gorkhaptra for the last four years. FNJ expresses heartfelt condolence to the family of journalist Bomjan for their loss. Jounalist Bomjan is the youngest son of Mr. Surendra Bomjan and Bimala Lama.

FNJ would like to thank Nepal Army, Armed Police Force – Nepal, Nepal Police, National and International Rescue and Emergency Team, Local Organisations, FNJ and Nepal Sports Journalists’ Forum (NSFJ) for their support in searching journalist Bomjan. FNJ assures and will assist for relief effort for journalist Bomjans’ family.
