The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has received information that additional journalists, along with their family members, have gone out of contact due to the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.

The FNJ’s Bhaktapur branch has informed that journalist Shekhar Dhungana, who had gone on a visit to Mansarovar, has been out of contact along with his wife since Bhadra 10.

Similarly, information has been received that Suresh Simkhada, publisher of Shilapatra.com, has also been out of contact along with his mother and elder sister.

The FNJ strongly urges the concerned authorities to intensify efforts to locate and rescue the journalists who remain out of contact and their family members. The FNJ is also making every possible effort to assist in locating them.

The FNJ also requests journalists and media organizations to inform the Federation about any difficulties or problems faced by media outlets and media professionals due to the floods.
