The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) has received information that one more journalist has gone out of contact following the devastating flood in the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa district.
According to information received from his family, Raj Kumar Nepali, President of the Nuwakot District chapter of the National Association of Dalit Journalists, who was working in Rasuwa, has not been in contact since the flood.
The FNJ strongly urges the concerned authorities to take serious and immediate action to search for and rescue journalist Nepali, as well as the journalists and their family members who were previously reported missing or out of contact. The FNJ also requests its branches in the affected districts, journalist-related organizations, and other concerned stakeholders to extend their support in these efforts.
The FNJ requests all concerned to inform the Federation as soon as possible about problems faced by journalists and media organizations due to the floods, either through the respective district branches and provincial committees or directly to the Central Committee.
