The Federation of Nepali Journalists has drawn its attention to the fact that some people have threatened journalist Shiva Prasad Dhungana, who disagreed with the news.
The Federation's Okhaldhunga branch has stated that Dhungana informed that he had received repeated threats over the telephone for posting news and video links related to Nepal Communist Party leader Gyan Bahadur Khadka (GB) on Facebook.
The Federation condemns this act as threatening journalists is an act against press freedom when there is an option to seek legal and legal solutions if the news is not satisfactory. It also demands that the concerned bodies ensure press freedom by bringing those involved in the incident to justice.
