The Federation of Nepali Journalists has drawn attention to the misbehavior of journalists by cadres of the National Freedom Party by preventing them from collecting news.

The Federation's Sudurpaschim Province Committee has stated that journalists who had reached an election rally organized in Dhangadhi, Kailali on 2082 Falgun 6 were pushed away by the cadres, saying that they could not enter without a pass from the party.

The Federation believes that this non-political behavior by a responsible political party towards journalists while exercising their constitutional rights is a mockery of democracy and a violation of press freedom. The Federation condemns this incident.

And, by respecting press freedom, it draws the attention of the concerned parties to help journalists enjoy their rights without hindrance in the future.
