The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of photojournalist Bhaswar Ojha at the age of 46.

The Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) is deeply saddened by the untimely demise of photojournalist Bhaswar Ojha at the age of 46.

According to the Photojournalists Club, an associate organization of the Federation, Mr. Ojha passed away on Monday, July 7, 2026 , while undergoing treatment at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajgunj, after his condition worsened due to jaundice. He is survived by his wife and a daughter.

Mr. Ojha had been actively involved in photojournalism for more than two decades. During his distinguished career, he worked with Nagarik, Republica, and Kantipur Daily, among other media outlets. In recent years, he had been working as an independent photojournalist. His passing is an irreparable loss to Nepali photojournalism, which has lost a dedicated, skilled, and courageous journalist.

The Federation of Nepali Journalists pays its heartfelt tribute to the late Bhaswar Ojha and prays for the eternal peace of his departed soul. The Federation also extends its deepest condolences to the bereaved family and wishes them strength and courage to endure this profound loss.
